The Michigan Nursery and Landscape Association, the Michigan Turfgrass Foundation, and the Michigan<br />
Forestry & Park Association have combined their annual conferences to present the <strong>2007</strong> Great Lakes<br />
Trade Exposition (GLTE). The GLTE brings together unprecedented educational programming and<br />
certification opportunities for all segments of the green industry, as well as the largest green industry<br />
trade show in the state. Now that these three statewide organizations have joined forces, attendees<br />
will have exposure to over 90 educational sessions and more than 350 exhibitors in over 600 booths.<br />
Press releases, advertisements, and<br />
announcements for the GLTE will be<br />
placed in major industry publications,<br />
including local and regional trade<br />
journals and association newsletters.<br />
In addition, more than 13,500 industry<br />
professionals will receive registration<br />
information. With expected attendance<br />
of 6,500 Green Industry professionals<br />
from all segments, you can't afford to<br />
miss this Midwest event.<br />

Rapids<br />
Features of the <strong>DeVos</strong> Place are:<br />
Exhibit Space: Over 162,000 square feet of<br />
column-free, single-floor exhibit space provides<br />
a convenient and highly functional setting<br />
for exhibitors.<br />
Move-in/Move-out: There is loading dock<br />
access with 12 enclosed truck bays for<br />
warmth and ease while moving in and out.<br />
Truck Wash: An inside truck wash will<br />
eliminate the need to hand-clean or worry<br />
about water and dirt in your booth.<br />
Parking: A 700-space underground parking<br />
garage with an additional 7,000 parking<br />
spaces within a five minute walk eliminates<br />
the worry for exhibitors and attendees to get<br />
to the trade show.<br />
Education: All education is held in the<br />
<strong>DeVos</strong> Place directly across from the exhibit<br />
halls. The educational sessions are scheduled<br />
around the trade show hours making the<br />
GLTE the only trade show in the state to<br />
offer exhibitors the opportunity to attend<br />
education and get exclusive time with a broad<br />
spectrum of horticultural professionals.<br />
Networking: All guests of the Great Lakes<br />
Trade Exposition will be housed in one<br />
location, the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel.<br />
Networking opportunities will be abundant<br />
as the <strong>DeVos</strong> Place, hotel, restaurants, and<br />
entertainment are all accessible by an<br />
enclosed heated skywalk.<br />
The <strong>2007</strong> GLTE will continue to provide<br />
exhibitors with an exceptional opportunity<br />
to acquire new leads and to make sales.<br />
This is your chance to build and strengthen<br />
your business while gaining momentum for<br />
the <strong>2007</strong> season and beyond.
Exhibits<br />
With 604 booth spaces available (and an<br />
additional 122 spaces in the expansion area),<br />
the GLTE offers exhibitors a unique<br />
opportunity to see thousands of green industry<br />
professionals at one time. These exhibits will<br />
include: all types of nursery and landscape<br />
materials, equipment and products (trees,<br />
shrubs, bedding plants, decorative materials,<br />
mulch, hardscape materials, irrigation<br />
products, outdoor furnishings, turfgrass and<br />
arboricultural products), and industry software/hardware<br />
supplies.<br />
Booth Information<br />
Exhibits are not to exceed 8 feet in height,<br />
and side projections at the 8-foot height may<br />
not extend forward from the rear of any<br />
booth more than 2 feet. Space that is 2 feet<br />
in front of the rear line may not have displays<br />
higher than 42 inches. Exposed rough work<br />
on sides of exhibits shall be properly covered.<br />
No exhibit shall be set in place so as to<br />
obstruct the general view of others or the flow<br />
of traffic in the aisle. Exhibitor signs will be<br />
prepared at the expense of the exposition and<br />
will not exceed 9 inches by 44 inches in size.<br />
Only the aisles in the hall will be carpeted, so<br />
plan accordingly for your comfort.<br />
An undraped 8-foot table and two chairs,<br />
backdrops, side rails, and booth sign will be<br />
provided with each exhibit space. If you do<br />
not want your table and chairs, please deduct<br />
$24.00 from the price of each purchased<br />
space. A forklift will be available for move-in<br />
and move-out, compliments of the GLTE.<br />
No nails, screws, or bracing wires may be<br />
used without the consent of the show manager.<br />
All property destroyed or damaged by<br />
exhibitors must be replaced in its original<br />
condition by the exhibitor or at the<br />
exhibitor's expense.<br />
Space Assignment<br />
Booth assignments will be made on May 1,<br />
2006. All initial and “filling” requests for<br />
dropped key locations will be determined<br />
by the following factors in the order in<br />
which they are listed.<br />
1. Is the exhibitor an MNLA, MTF, or<br />
MFPA member?<br />
2. Is the exhibitor requesting the same space<br />
as the previous year?<br />
3. How many years seniority does the<br />
exhibitor have?<br />
4. What is the firm's involvement with the<br />
MNLA, MTF, and/or MFPA?<br />
5. When was the contract and deposit<br />
received in the MNLA office?<br />
Key locations will be determined by the<br />
show manager and the GLTE Committee.<br />
An exhibitor requesting the same space as<br />
2006 cannot be bumped by an exhibitor<br />
with more seniority.<br />
If a particular space is not requested by the<br />
2006 exhibitor prior to May 1, 2006 that<br />
space will become available and its assignment<br />
will be based on the criteria above.<br />
After May 1, the availability of remaining<br />
spaces will be known and, if possible,<br />
requests for expansion and improvement<br />
will be processed.<br />
Requests for space received after May 1,<br />
2006 will be assigned in order of contract<br />
requests and deposits. Only firm financial<br />
commitments will be considered.<br />
Exhibitors requesting space after September<br />
30, 2006 will pay <strong>10</strong>0 percent of the booth<br />
cost with the filing of their contract.<br />
Storage<br />
Each exhibitor is responsible for the transportation,<br />
storage, and assemblage of their<br />
display material, which may be readied and<br />
set in place the day of move-in as soon as<br />
the backdrops and side rails are set in place<br />
to receive materials. The Exhibition Center<br />
offers storage of exhibit-related material<br />
during the exposition.<br />

by a climate-controlled pedway. Discounted<br />
room rates are being offered. To receive the<br />
