New LED luminaires are currently being developed
and we show only a selection of the range we have
available.
We can also offer bespoke LED solutions.
LED luminaires and Retrofit solutions
LED luminaires designed for both residential and highway lighting applications. BetaLED fixtures are built around innovative
modular light bars (10 or 20 LEDs) which are added or removed depending on the required light output. Individual light bars
consist of an array of Cree LEDs and NanoOptic refractors. A full range of NanoOptics are available with optics designed for
roadways, footpaths, highways, car parking and floodlighting applications.
The flexibility of this range enables users to optimise the energy efficiency and lighting design on any project.
A separate catalogue is available for these products.
• LED Street Light
• Modular system 10-120 LED luminaires
• Die cast and extruded aluminium housing
• IP66 grade protection
• NanoOptic produced in conformity with Dark Sky (IESNA)
• Available optics for streets, car parks, highways and green areas include:
AC, ACB, PR, PRB, TS, TSB, TM, TMB, QVM, QVS
• Available multi-level option (G) for regulation of the luminous flux
• Colour temperatures available are: 6,000K, 4,300K and 3,500K
• Power line control system with dimmable driver (option D)
• Mounting has an adjustable mounting system with 5º increments on the vertical tilt.
• Colours available: Silver and Black
CU Phosco Lighting provide a range of energy efficient lighting solutions to suit both the lighting design specification and
budget constraints. Solutions are based on the inclusion of the latest in energy efficient lighting technologies in to both new
and existing luminaires. The efficiencies can be derived from LED luminaires based on both new and retrofit solutions to
existing luminaires.
New luminaires are currently in development. View our website for news on when they will become available.
Retrofit LED solutions can be produced for standard products taken from our catalogue (see P109 above) or for customer’s
preinstalled luminaires.
Our retrofit development work requires a sample of the chosen luminaire to be used as the prototype lantern body. This is
then returned with the retrofit LED solution developed and installed as a working prototype. In developing the prototype we
ensure that the key issues of photometric and thermal performance are fully resolved through rigorous testing of the finished
luminaire prototype. This physical testing and the use of quality components ensures a reliable, cost effective and energy
efficient solution for upgrading existing lighting quality.
Once a prototype has been produced for approval by the customer, our UK based production allows us to manufacture the
retrofit solutions on short lead times to allow these to be installed on site.
In addition to LED retrofits, we have a growing demand for retrofit HID and fluorescent lamp and gear solutions in existing
luminaires. This involves upgrade of existing lighting stock to new energy efficient lamp and gear types by provision of a
gear tray with plugs and sockets suitable for connection into the existing luminaires. The gear trays are manufactured as
sub-assemblies and shipped to site for installation into the luminaires, for example as part of normal maintenance schedules.
Typical retrofit solutions might involve upgrading electromagnetic gear up to electronic gear perhaps with a reduced lamp
wattage while using the same lamp holder e.g 150w electromagnetic gear becomes 100w electronic gear. However,
alternative solutions are possible for example, the inclusion of full Central Management Systems (CMS), part night, switching
or dimming electronic gear and separate or integral dimming electronics for electronic or electromagnetic control gear or the
inclusion of Cosmopolis solutions.
Due to rapid advances in technology please refer to our website and supplementary brochures for the latest developments
in LED lighting.
