POSTING DATES: August 7, 2012 through August 13, 2012<br />
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:<br />
To provide clerical, educati<strong>on</strong>al and program support for the Educati<strong>on</strong> C<strong>on</strong>tent area.<br />
QUALIFICATIONS:<br />
• Associates in Child Care, Early Childhood Educati<strong>on</strong>.<br />
• Five or <str<strong>on</strong>g>more</str<strong>on</strong>g> year’s experience working in a childcare envir<strong>on</strong>ment.<br />
• Experience in typing and general office work, knowledge of established usages in business<br />
corresp<strong>on</strong>ding and English.<br />
• Knowledge of Licensing Rules for Child Care Centers.<br />
• Knowledge of curriculum, assessment, observati<strong>on</strong> tools.<br />
• Clerical aptitude and computer literacy.<br />
• Experience in management.<br />
Must pass licensing requirements including criminal clearance, Central Registry and pre-employment<br />
drug screen.<br />
NOTE: Equivalent combinati<strong>on</strong>s of educati<strong>on</strong> and experience that could provide the required<br />
knowledge, skills and abilities, will be evaluated <strong>on</strong> an individual basis.<br />

• Able to read, write and communicate is Standard English.<br />
• Good organizati<strong>on</strong>al and time management skills.<br />
• Good oral and written communicati<strong>on</strong> skills.
• Able to maintain c<strong>on</strong>fidentiality of all discussi<strong>on</strong>s and records.<br />
• Must be resourceful, patient and sensitive to the needs of staff, children, and families.<br />
• Must be culturally sensitive to work in a diverse community<br />
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:<br />
• Lead Mentor for Center Administrators.<br />
• Assist in compiling m<strong>on</strong>thly data and informati<strong>on</strong> to complete various reports.<br />
• Assist in planning and implementati<strong>on</strong> of program activities and initiatives.<br />
• Attend meetings/trainings as assigned.<br />
• M<strong>on</strong>itoring and/or assessing classrooms.<br />
• Copying of materials as directed, including collating and distributi<strong>on</strong>.<br />
• C<strong>on</strong>tinuous tracking and updating of center licensing.<br />
• Filing and sorting as directed.<br />
• Ability to c<strong>on</strong>struct and maintain database files.<br />
• Composing and typing routine corresp<strong>on</strong>dence and flyers.<br />
• Must assist with recruitment of children for the program.<br />
• Must participate in all program activities and community events.<br />
• Ordering of supplies/equipment for Educati<strong>on</strong> C<strong>on</strong>tent area.<br />
• All other duties as assigned.<br />
