REASONS FOR DEVELOPMENT :<br />

<strong>SC</strong> <strong>380</strong> paste was <strong>de</strong>veloped to form an<br />

intermediate product between behaviour<br />

of <strong>SC</strong> 175 and <strong>SC</strong> 390.<br />

On some applications (direct mould or<br />

infusion on the mo<strong>de</strong>l) <strong>SC</strong> 175 appears<br />

to be consi<strong>de</strong>red ten<strong>de</strong>r.<br />

<strong>SC</strong> 390 has very high performance with<br />

a relative high cost compare to the <strong>SC</strong><br />

range.<br />

• <strong>SC</strong> <strong>380</strong> has a good compromise<br />

between Shore hardness and pricing.<br />

RECOMMENDATIONS:<br />

REPAIR<br />

<strong>SC</strong> <strong>380</strong> <strong>SC</strong> <strong>380</strong><br />

Limit the thickness (max 30 mm) to avoid exotherm, too high shrinkage and<br />

tension during har<strong>de</strong>ning.<br />

For large size, apply the product in patches (about 2 m² each);<br />

precure overnight at 40°C and fulfil the dilatation line the day after.<br />

We propose different systems for paste repair:<br />

For a large repair surface or modification of the <strong>de</strong>sign, we recommend to reapply<br />

the paste <strong>SC</strong> <strong>380</strong>.<br />

For repair to small surface areas or to infill gaps, there are three possibilities<br />

according to the customers requirements:<br />

• <strong>SC</strong> <strong>380</strong> : machinable / sandable 24h after extrusion<br />

• M<strong>380</strong> /M 10 : machinable / sandable 4h after application<br />

• APF 7 : machinable / sandable 30 mn after application<br />

M <strong>380</strong> / M 10<br />

M <strong>380</strong> is a quick setting epoxy repair putty specifically for <strong>SC</strong> <strong>380</strong> paste.<br />

Machinable after 4 hours, for a 3 mm thickness application<br />

I<strong>de</strong>ntical aspect to the paste <strong>SC</strong> <strong>380</strong>, the light grey viscous paste.<br />

NB : M 10 har<strong>de</strong>ner is fully compatible with the following resins:<br />

• M 175 resin (ratio 100/50)<br />

• M <strong>380</strong> resin (ratio 100/37)<br />

• M 390 resin (ratio 100/33)<br />

APF 7<br />

APF 7 is a quick setting polyester putty styrene free .<br />

The main application is for high performance composite mould repair.<br />

Available in (6+1.36kg) ref Z35356<br />
