Some of the rectangular Quick•Point ®<br />
plate sizes also has a version with clamping<br />
edges in addition to mounting bores.<br />
This clamping edge can be used to attach<br />
the plate with clamps to the machine table.<br />

Round plates are best attached to the<br />
machine table with custom mounting<br />
bores and t-fittings. Ideally the concentric<br />
alignment is done via one t-fitting, which<br />
has on one side the measurement (12 H7 )<br />
of the center bore of the Quick•Point ® plate<br />
and on the other side the measurement of<br />
the round machine table. It is enough to<br />
use an additional key on the underside of<br />
the Quick•Point ® plate for the axial alignment.<br />
As an alternative to the t-fitting<br />
2 keys can be used in each recess if the<br />
layout of the machine table allows it.<br />

Each of the Quick•Point ® plates is also available without<br />
mounting bores or clamping edges. This allows the<br />
modification of the plates to accomodate custom bores<br />
specific to the t-slot pattern of the machine table. In addition<br />
custom keyways can be machined into the underside of<br />
the plate (if necessary with threads for fixed attachment).<br />
These modifications can be done by LANG for an<br />
additional charge or by the customers themselves (plates<br />
are case hardened to 57HRc with a depth of 0.7mm)<br />

Alignment: with Quick•Point ® Gauges<br />
The standard Quick•Point ® plates with the existing mounting<br />
bores are attached with nuts in the t-slots of the<br />
machine table. The alignment is done with a highly precise<br />
Quick•Point ® Gauge. A probe can measure along the<br />
coordinateground sides of the Gauge and the plate can be<br />
aligned accordingly<br />
