The ethos of the practice is to provide quality patient services in a warm and friendly team<br />
environment. This was the culture fostered by Dr Andrew Cunningham and continues today. Dr<br />
Cunningham is our senior GP and supervisor. A personable and much respected doctor, he has just<br />
received an award from RWAV for 35 years of service as a dedicated GP.<br />
<strong>Stawell</strong> <strong>Medical</strong> <strong>Centre</strong> was recently purchased by <strong>Stawell</strong> Regional Health (http://www.srh.org.au/).<br />
<strong>Stawell</strong> Regional Health has a large number of visiting specialist services and provides quality health<br />
care to the community of <strong>Stawell</strong> and District.<br />
Being part of SRH means having ready access to the wide range of services and resources the<br />
hospital operates. Registrars will be part of an on‐duty roster providing services to the Urgent Care<br />
<strong>Centre</strong>. They can also become more familiar with team approaches to patient health utilising Allied<br />
Health services.<br />
St John of God pathology provide a collection service from the centre between 8:30am ‐ 1pm<br />
Monday to Friday.<br />

<strong>Stawell</strong> is a family friendly town of around 6,500 people and offers a range of schooling, sporting and<br />
community centres. It has a rich history of gold mining and is situated in a major tourist area. It is the<br />
home of the <strong>Stawell</strong> Easter Gift that has run since 1878. <strong>Stawell</strong> is also central to many regional<br />
centres such as Ballarat, Horsham, Warrnambool and Bendigo.<br />
