<strong>Homes</strong> for Special Care were established to provide high support and<br />
supervision for people with chronic and severe mental health problems<br />
with limited daily living skills. The CAMH HSC program operates from the<br />
Queen Street site and has over 400 licensed residential beds in 23 homes.<br />
The majority are lo<strong>ca</strong>ted north of Toronto in York Region, 3 are in Peel<br />
Region and 1 in Toronto. <strong>Group</strong> home settings often in rural areas, with<br />
an average of 17 beds. Most are shared bedrooms with some singles.<br />

mental illness such as schizophrenia, bi-polar personality disorder as well<br />
as other mental illnesses, 24 hour supervision, full time staff live on the<br />
