project for heat recovery. It examines
if it is feasible to develop our own
heat recovery system.

We Care
Metaloterm® systems are often
used in applications that produce
sound. This sound is often regarded as
undesirable. In addition, the European
legislation in the field of noise are
becoming stricter. With these changes
the importance of silencing
is increasing in several markets.
Ontop B.V. has developed a full
product silencer range as a provider
of total solutions. This range consists
of absorption and resonance silencers
and for the very low frequencies a
quarter lambda silencer will be
custom made.

Heat recovery
Ontop B.V. is provider of total solutions for stainless steel flue systems,
with more than 45 years of experience. Our systems are applied,
among others, in the bakery oven industry. Heat recovery products are
getting more common in this industry, but because of the high
investment and the long pay-back period not always an option.
We think to have found a solution for this issue and have started to
develop our own heat recovery system.

This heat recovery system is a
concentric flue gas system in
which supplied fresh air for the
burner is preheated by the
warmth of the exhaust flue. This
concept provides an efficient use
of the ovens.

The investigation into the feasibility and applications of our own heat
recovery system is in a test stage.

current market for Ontop B.V.:
“My job at the moment even gets
more interesting because in addition
to the Scandinavian market where I
already was active, recently the
English and Greek market also got my
attention. These accounts where
obtained by lateral contacts which
were obtained through exhibitions
such as the recent Progetto Fuoco.
At this exhibition, I spoke with
customers from France, the
Netherlands, Belgium, United
Kingdom, France, Italy, Greece and
Denmark. During these
conversations seemed that despite the
crisis a positive mood prevails. Even
the Greek contacts indicated that their
sales increase steadily.
A hot topic still remains wood firing,
partly because this is a cheaper
fuel than oil and gas, in addition to
this saving energy is a big trend, for
example the passive house market is
growing. Several passive houses are
equipped with a stove, mostly for the
cosy atmosphere.
This situation is ideal for our recently
developed Metaloterm® Iso-block.
Anglia Fireplaces will be present on
the National Homebuilding
and Renovation Event in the UK, using
the Iso-block display to demonstrate
the Metaloterm® Iso-block.
Partly because of their enthusiastic
motivation and perseverance this will
undoubtedly be a great success.
I hope this event will be as successful
as the Progetto Fuoco, because that is
the place to be for wood burning
Europe.”
