2 Heritage Farmstead
Step back in time for a visit to a 19th century
farmhouse and all its original outbuildings. Listed
on the National Register of Historic Places and fully
accredited by the American Association of Museums,
this 1891 Victorian farmstead features a million
dollar restoration of a twelve-room turn-of-thecentury
farm home complete with gardens, farm
animals and antique farm equipment. Handmade
crafts are available. Admission: Guided Tours–

3 Interurban Railway Museum
Plano transportation history is brought back to life
with this interesting exhibit. Once a vital part of the
Texas Electric Railway that stretched from Denison
to Waco, the Interurban is one of the original
electric cars that ran on the tracks through Plano.

5 Southfork Ranch
Your tour at Southfork will take you up close and
personal with the most infamous Texas ranchers of
them all—the Ewings! While longhorns and horses
graze in the background, you can tour the Ewing
Mansion and grounds made famous by J.R. and the

6 Arbor Hills Nature Preserve
This beautiful 200-acre park located on the western
border of Plano offers vast areas of natural beauty
for walking, jogging, hiking and other outdoor
activities. The park is open from 5 AM-11 PM at
night. Gates are closed when park is closed.

7 Oak Point Park & Nature Preserve
This is an 800-acre park extending from Parker Road
on the south to Chaparral Road on the north and
from Spring Creek Parkway on the west to Los Rios
Boulevard on the east. The park boasts 3.5 miles
of concrete trails and 5 miles of soft surface trails
located along Rowlett Creek. Nature Trails are open
from sunrise to sunset daily.
