and Wildlife Sanctuary<br />
In 1967, Miss Bessie Heard established the Museum<br />
and Wildlife Sanctuary to share her love of nature<br />
with people of all ages. Exhibits include fossils, local<br />
wildlife, Indian artifacts, rocks, minerals and<br />
seashells. Live animals can be seen both inside and<br />
out. Nature trails wind through the 289-acre property.<br />
The museum store provides a variety of nature gifts.<br />
Admission: Adults–$8.00, Seniors and children<br />
(3-12)–$5.00. Children under 3 are free. Open Tuesday–<br />
Saturday 9 AM–5 PM, Sunday 1–5 PM. Closed Mondays.<br />
