I. First requirement: (Posted on display board or poster board) <br />

2. A chart of important facts (10 points) <br />

a. Name of <strong>country</strong> <br />

b. Capital City <br />

c. Major Cities <br />

d. Population <br />

e. One other interesting fact (such as religion, form of government, major industries, <br />

natural resources etc.) <br />

3. Your <strong>country</strong> flag (10 points) <br />

4. Extra pictures you think we might enjoy (10 points) <br />

II. <br />

Second requirement: Written report (40 points) One paragraph on each of the following: <br />

(10 points each paragraph) <br />

1. History of <strong>country</strong> <br />

a. When it became a <strong>country</strong> <br />

b. Flag and or other symbols (where they came from and what they mean) <br />

c. Where it is located (what continent) <br />

2. Interesting facts about the <strong>country</strong> <br />

a. Famous people <br />

b. Famous monuments or landmarks <br />

c. Interesting events or traditions <br />

3. Industry or Agriculture of the <strong>country</strong> <br />

a. Things they make or manufacture <br />

b. Things they grow <br />

4. Reasons to visit or travel to the <strong>country</strong> <br />

a. Tourist attractions <br />

b. Popular vacation destinations <br />

c. Other reasons (ie: you are from that <strong>country</strong> or have relatives there)


III. Third requirement : Presentation to the class: (20 points) <br />

1. Be a good audience. You want the same when you share your report (10 points) <br />

2. Share your display and read your report (10 points) <br />

Notes about <strong>project</strong>: <br />

Have fun and be creative. <br />

Project should be typed. <br />

Please be neat. If it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing well. <br />

Each student must do a different <strong>country</strong> (first come, first served). <br />

This is mostly an at home <strong>project</strong> but you will have an hour on Mondays to work in the <br />

computer lab. Any printing will need to be done at home. <br />
