TRIPOLIS THANK YOU Thank you to our Youth for serving Delicious soup suppers during Lent! You all did a wonderful job! THANK YOU Thank you to all who helped us with donations, serving and attending our Youth Soup suppers. TRIPOLIS GOES TO THE STINGERS On Friday, July 19 th ,Tripolis Church members are going to the Stingers baseball game in Willmar. Game time is 7:05 p.m. We will have a suite on the 3 rd baseline. The cost of the ticket is $25.00 and includes unlimited food, sodas, and water for the entire game. The Tripolis churchmen will pay $5.00 towards each ticket so your cost will be $20.00. Children 4 and under are free. This will replace our annual outing to a Twins game. There is a sign-up sheet at church or call Bob Schueler at 320-995-6267 or email Bob at bcschueler@yahoo.com. GREEN LAKE MINISTRIES NEWS Is our seemingly never-ending winter getting you down? Do you long for sunshine, warmth & green grass? Then let's go to camp! I know summer camp seems a long way off, but here are some events coming up soon to get you feeling a little sunnier. April 12-13 Elementary Retreat at Green Lake Bible April 12-14 Girlfriend Getaway Weekend at St Andrew Village April 26-28 Scrapbook Buzz Retreat at Green Lake Bible Camp Taste of Grace wine tasting & silent auction Thursday, May 16, 5-7pm at Glacial Ridge Winery Servant Weekends You know how much work it takes to get your home & yard transitioned from winter to spring or fall to winter; now imagine doing that with over 53 buildings amongst 3 different properties. Meals, lodging, fellowship & fun will be provided in exchange for willing hands & hearts. GLBC May 10-12 Shores May 17-19 & August 23-25 Camp House Sept 13-15 As many of you know, we (Mike & Jeanette Jacobson) along with family & friends trek north to Camp House each year to get the camp open & ready for guests. This year we plan to remodel the bath house as well as the usual cleaning, yard work, etc. We are in need of as many hands as possible to help accomplish this goal. If you are willing to clean, mow, help with the remodeling or any of the other tasks involved, we would be very grateful if you would join us for some hard work & great fun. We plan to go the week of June 2. Please contact us if you'd like to come along for the ride - & what a wild ride it can be! Never have we worked so hard, eaten so well, & had so much fun all at the same time! News & Notes Women of the ELCA By Karol Markfelder Due to bad weather on our original date, we have rescheduled the Project Service Day for Saturday, April 6, beginning at 9:00 am. Jeanette Jacobson will be leading us in making items for the craft sale at the Green Lake Lutheran Ministries Quilt Auction which will be held on July 27. We will have a potluck noon lunch so bring a dish to share. If you can only make part of the day, that is just fine, come when you can or stay as long as you can. Sounds like lots of fun. “BOLD Women Moving Forward” is the theme for the Lakeland Conference Spring Gathering of WELCA on Saturday, April 13, at the United Lutheran Church in Lake Lillian. Our guest speaker will be Pastor Joyce Graues from St. Johns Lutheran Church in Raymond. Registration is $8.00 which includes a noon lunch. Coffee will be at 8:30 am with the gathering beginning at 9:00. We will continue our celebration of our 25 th anniversary of Women of the ELCA. Hope to see many of you there. The 26 th annual convention of the SW MN Synodical Women of the ELCA will be held Friday and Saturday, June 21- 22, at the Redwood Area Community Center in Redwood Falls. The theme is “Legacy of Faith: Roots to Wings”. The convention is open to ALL WOMEN, not just delegates. More information will come in the next newsletter. Our next WELCA meeting will be on Tuesday, April 23, at 10:00 a.m. Quilting will begin at 9:00 a.m. and continue after the WELCA meeting. All women are welcome.
