LIEUTENANT COLONEL MARK C. ANARUMO<br />
<strong>Lieutenant</strong> <strong>Colonel</strong> <strong>Mark</strong> <strong>Anarumo</strong> is Chair of Homeland<br />
Security and Terrorism Studies at <strong>Stockton</strong> <strong>College</strong>, a<br />
geographically separated unit of the Air Force Security<br />
Forces Center. He leads a program providing graduate<br />
level education to military and civilian personnel from<br />
DoD and other government agencies. He develops<br />
curriculum for homeland security courses and teaches<br />
classes on disaster preparedness, crisis management,<br />
terrorism, transportation security, and private sector<br />
operations management. He also performs as liaison for<br />
supporting agencies including the Federal Air Marshalls,<br />
Transportation Security Administration, Customs and<br />
Border Protection, Coast Guard, and state and federal<br />
homeland security and preparedness offices. He serves<br />
as a representative to several organizations dealing with<br />
higher education, terrorism, homeland security, and<br />
criminal justice.<br />
<strong>Lieutenant</strong> <strong>Colonel</strong> <strong>Anarumo</strong> entered the Air Force in<br />
1994 as the Distinguished Graduate of Air Force ROTC<br />
at Rutgers University. He completed the Security Police<br />
Academy as the Honor Graduate and Top Gun Award<br />
winner, and the Ground Combat Skills Level IV course as<br />
the Honor Graduate and Leadership Award winner. He<br />
has served as Deputy Chief of Force Development at Headquarters, Air Combat Command, Executive<br />
Officer to the Air Combat Command Director of Security Forces, and as Operations Officer for the largest<br />
deployed Security Forces Squadron in the world. He also served as an Air Force Fellow in the Air Force<br />
Institute of Technology Civilian Institutions Program, completing his doctoral dissertation on terrorist<br />
threat forecasting. He has commanded two Security Forces squadrons; the 43d Security Forces<br />
Squadron at Pope Air Force Base, North Carolina, and the 376th Expeditionary Security Forces<br />
Squadron at Manas Air Base, Republic of Kyrgyzstan. Prior to entering the Air Force, he served in the<br />
US Army as an M-1 Abrams tanks crewman, reaching the rank of Corporal and tank commander before<br />
being discharged to attend Air Force ROTC. <strong>Lieutenant</strong> <strong>Colonel</strong> <strong>Anarumo</strong> is a graduate of the Federal<br />
Bureau of Investigations National Academy, US Army Pathfinder School, US Army Air Assault School,<br />
and several courses at the US Air Force Special Operations School.<br />
