Simple, reliable and equipped like a Pro machine!
Available with horizontal reaches of 4.30 m and
4.80 m, AGri-LonGer Hedge & Grass Cutters are
fitted with a mechanical safety system.
With the 120 x 120 x 6 mm main boom section and
the 100 x 100 x 8 mm outer boom section, the arm
is a robust assembly for this category of machine.
For longer life, all machine pivots, including the
ram joints, are protected against wear by greasedfor-life,
cell-type bushes. There is no rotational
shaft movement to eliminate premature wear or
prevent the pivot from opening.

A machine designed to last ...
AgRi-LongeR models are equipped with an oil cooler as
standard 1 to ensure full power of the cutting head.
sustained work can therefore be kept up all day long without
loss of power.
For longer life, all machine pivots, including ram pivots, are
protected against wear by greased-for-life, cell-type bushes
2. there is no rotational shaft movement, thus eliminating
premature wear and preventing the pivot from opening.
to avoid the risk of the hoses snagging, they have been
carefully routed along the arm and are protected by a
housing 3. the plastic rings holding the hoses are machined
to the shape of each pipe.
For enhanced user comfort and safety, the models in the
AgRi-LongeR range are equipped as standard with a fully
enclosed housing with a pivoting hood, a bumper with built-in
lights 4, an oil cooler, a hydro-pneumatic lift float , four
adjustable parking stands, a control support bracket for
storage, a floating head, and a two-directional rotor rotation
with a safety device to prevent accidental reversing.

Flail head:
a professional level of performance!
Comprising a robust, reinforced casing, a replaceable wear plate, a
10 mm thick rotor, wire protection baffles 6, interchangeable wearing
shoes and a grass hood, the flail head offers the same advantages as
when working with a professional range.
the head is driven directly by a hydraulic motor .
For quality scrub clearing work, the flail head is equipped with 24 boot
flails for a width of 1.20 m. the rotor can also accomodate y-flails.
An adjustable, 140 mm diameter sensor roller increases the rigidity
of the flail head. this roller has removable ends with triple-sealed,
maintenance-free, greased-for-life bearings.
For increased cutting capacity in the steepest situations, the flail head
pivot is positioned at the rear .

Remote cable controls: simplicity and reliability!
Arm, head and rotor movements are controlled by four remote cables. the
compact console and flexibility of the controls ensure easy operation.
to extend your machine’s working life, “two-directional rotation” is controlled by
the rotor control equipped with a safety feature to prevent accidental reversing.
the “floating head” control is incorporated into the flail head control.
the control console is extended by a padded armrest for comfort.
Electric controls: ergonomic, user-friendly operation
the joystick controls all of the main machine functions (main and outer booms,
rotor direction and float position) electrically and simultaneously.
the unit has an electric power switch, an emergency stop, hydro-pneumatic lift
float control and an hour counter.
the rotor is still activated by remote cable control. to extend your machine’s
working life, the two-directional rotation function is equipped with a safety feature
to prevent accidental reversing.
By design, the electric control unit is easy to fit in the cab.

SRS: SHIFT RAIL SYSTEM (option)
This system, which is designed to slide the head +/ 40 cm,
offers several advantages in terms of machine use:
• Grass cutting under wire fencing or barbed wire
• easier access to difficult positions (bottom of fences, top
of hedges, etc…): work behind the tractor wheel with
arm in vertical position without touching the hedge (on
narrow paths).
• 90° rotation for mowing behind the tractor wheel on
narrow paths.

PARALLELOGRAM:
driving comfort and performance
the arm’s main boom and outer boom are joined by a
mechanical link. Just one control is needed to move the head
whilst maintaining a constant height.
in terms of machine operation, this function offers several
advantages:
• greater manoeuvring flexibility
• Faster obstacle clearance and setting of the head to the
working position
• Less driver fatigue and therefore improved quality of work.
From an economical aspect, the parallelogram design is
undoubtedly the most cost-effective system:
• Lower maintenance costs due to reduced friction (less
ground pressure)
• time savings and thus greater profitability.

Flail head:
speed and quality of work
the flail head consists of a reinforced structure and a rotor equipped with
24 t-flails to guarantee top quality work: quality mowing and quality
shredding. the rotor can also accomodate y-flails.
its compact size and rounded shape 1 will provide easier, smoother access
to various cutting jobs.

to control the power, the rotor is driven by two notched V-belts 2. this
compact setup is not only quiet but also offers long-term reliability.
As far as maintenance is concerned, the 1.20 m flail head has been
designed to limit unproductive downtime.
to control the machine, a large (140 mm) sensor roller ensures a smooth
rolling action. it comes with removable ends with triple-sealed, maintenancefree,
greased-for-life bearings 3.
For rotor changes, the head is fitted with a self-guiding rapid coupling system
4 as standard. with this system, a single person can carry out the operation
easily, quickly and safely.

EP electric proportional control for smooth operation
the joystick incorporates the four electric proportional functions (pivot, main
boom, outer boom and flail head) as standard.
For safety reasons, the proportional effect works in both directions: up and
down.
For speed of operation, the four functions can be activated simultaneously
thanks to the ergonomic grip.
the pivot arm and flail head react instantly to fingertip control resulting in
precision work.
the PoLy-LongeR also incorporates a system which slows down arm and
pivot movement at the end of the stroke. this reduces the jolts which are not
only uncomfortable for the operator but also harmful to the machine structure.

The Swedish Steel Prize is an international
award presented by the SSAB company. This
award is open to all manufacturers of industrial,
public works and farm machinery using very high
yield steel in their products.
The tenth edition of the Swedish Steel Prize was
awarded to KUHn for the development of its new
Pro-LonGer professional hedge and grass cutter range.
The PoLY-LonGer range has also been designed
using this type of steel.
in practice, the use of very high yield steel results in a more robust
machine (in terms of mechanical design) for a comparable weight.

the universal rotor is equipped with boot flails for outstanding
quality of mowing and shredding work.
mounted on a 90 mm diameter rotor tube with a thickness of
10 mm, the 24 boot flails guarantee top machine performance.
this rotor can also accommodate y-flails.
