Jay Plouhar graduated with a
B.S.B.A. in finance. Jay is currently a
sales manager in Network Appliance
Federal Systems Division. His team
sells to the USAF and National
Intelligence communities in the
south central U.S.
Alan G. Reimers graduated with
a B.S.B.A. in management. He is
the assistant prosecuting attorney
in Saginaw.

Diane (May) Kirillow graduated
with a B.S.B.A. in personnel
management. She lives in
Columbus, Ohio. Diane was married
in 1999 to Ed Kirillow. They have no
children, but do have one cat. She
works at American Electric Power
as a business analyst.
Michele (Smith) Monteith
graduated with a B.S.B.A. in
marketing. She is still with AAA
Michigan and just celebrated 20
years with the company. She
has her own office and handles
personal lines only. Her husband, Bill
Monteith, ’85, is a financial planner
with LPL Financial. They reside in
Farmington Hills.

Craig Goepper graduated with a
B.S.B.A. in general business and
business management. He currently
is the manager of purchasing for
TKS Industrial, a Troy-based turnkey
supplier of automotive paint
application systems. He has been
married for 15 years to his wife,
Jenny, and is the father of four
children – Josh (12), Sam (10),
Rachel (8), and Mary Elizabeth (4).
They live in Shelby Township and
are very involved in their church,
where Craig serves as a trustee.
Jeffrey A. Leake graduated with a
B.S.B.A. in personnel management.
He received his M.S.A. in 1989.
Jeff is currently director of materials
for Rockwell Automation located in
Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He currently
resides in the Northern Chicago
suburbs with his wife and two
children – Danielle (19, a junior at
the University of Kentucky) and Gary
(17, a senior at Warren Township
High School).
Daniel C. Long graduated with a
B.S.B.A. in merchandising and retail
sales and marketing. He received
an M.A. in 1993 in educational administration.
Daniel is the principal
director at Manistee ISD. He is
divorced with two daughters, ages
10 and 12. Daniel lives in Onekama.
He is an active member of the National
Ski Patrol at Crystal Mountain,
MASSP and NASSP member. He
also enjoys sailing Cygnet on Portage
Lake and time spent with his
two daughters and girlfriend as well
as skiing and golfing.
Daniel Mahlebashian graduated
with a B.S.B.A. in accounting. He
is employed at General Motors
Corporation as a chief contracting
officer, IS&S in Detroit.
Mark Curtis Raby graduated with
a B.S.B.A. in general education
administration. He is living in
Washington, D.C., and is employed
as a senior trial counsel for the
United States Department of Justice.
Mark recently received a Special
Commendation for Outstanding
Service from the Assistant Attorney
General and obtained his private
pilot’s certificate.
Carey (Chabot) Winkel graduated
with a B.S.B.A. in marketing. She
received her M.S.A in 1988. Carey
is the president of commercial
operations North America for
Sunrise Medical. She is married
with two boys – Brett born in 1988
and Eric born in 1991. They reside in
Rochester.

Rhonda Gombold graduated with
a B.S.B.A. in finance. She is a vice
president at Wells Fargo in the
mortgage division and has been
with the company for nearly 15
years. She is married with one son.
Several family members still live in
the Mount Pleasant area, so she
visits at least once per year.
Janice Reeves graduated with a
B.S. in economics. She is senior
attorney for Safeco Insurance’s
Louisiana office headquartered in
Baton Rouge. She is on the Executive
Council for the American Inns of
Court chapter in Baton Rouge and
former president of the Baton Rouge
Association of Women Attorneys.
She resides in Baton Rouge.

Mark Schmidt graduated with a
B.S.B.A. in economics. Mark was
recently hired as president/chief
executive officer for Greenville
Gas Turbine Employees FCU in
Greenville, South Carolina.

Michael Dunckel graduated with
a B.S.B.A. in business administration.
He recently accepted the
position of executive director of the
Saginaw Bay Symphony Orchestra in
Saginaw. The Symphony begins its
71st year with their opening concert
on October 21. He resides in his
hometown of Bay City. He is always
amazed at how the campus has
grown, especially the area around
the Towers. CMU remains one of his
favorite places.
Mark Tuttle graduated with a
B.S.B.A. in accounting. Mark
was hired by The Stroh Brewery
Company right after graduation
and is still employed by The Stroh
Companies. He is the vice president
– finance and assistant secretary.
He has been married to his wife,
Kathy, for 21 years. They have 3
boys – Andrew (19) is a sophomore
at CMU majoring in international
business and Matthew (17) is
a senior and Michael (15) is a
sophomore at Livonia Stevenson
High School. Mark and his family
live in Livonia. He is a hockey and
baseball coach and likes to play as
much golf as possible.

Jay Livingstone graduated with a
B.S.B.A. He received his master’s in
management information systems
at Webster University, St. Louis,
Missouri, in 1996. He is employed
at The Boeing Company in Long
Beach, California, as a program
manager of automatic identification
technology. Jay resides in Irvine.
Steven Pedo graduated with a
B.S.B.A. in accounting. He regrets
that his position of COO/CFO at EMI
Music’s Narada Productions Jazz/
New Age Music label is ending on
April 15, 2007, as they are merging
the company with a New York division
of EMI North America. With 26
years of music industry experience,
he will be searching the globe for a
new job in the same industry.
Susan (Reyner) Smith graduated
with a B.S.B.A. in marketing.
Susan is the co-host of WSGW’s
Listen to the Mrs., the Tri-Cities’
longest-running talk show, and is
life enrichment director at Wescourt
Retirement, part of Holiday
Retirement Corporation. She is
married to Scott. They have two
children, Scott Jr., 18, and Melissa,
16. They reside in Saginaw.
Thomas St. Pierre graduated with
a B.S.B.A. He is currently employed
at Aon Corporation in Chicago,
Illinois, as the vice president of
information technology. His wife
Tammy works at M&M Orthopedics
as a radiologist. They have twin
sons, Dan and Mike. Dan is a senior
at Bradley University (engineering),
and Mike is a senior at Illinois
State (biology), and their youngest
son, Tim, is a sophomore at the
University of Illinois (finance).
Tom has resided in Naperville,
Illinois, since 1998. He and his
wife celebrated their 25th wedding
anniversary this year on October 17.

Rade Savich graduated with a
B.S.B.A. He wanted to pass on his
sincere appreciation to the faculty
of Central Michigan University for
the great experience and education
he received here. Rade was a kicker
on the football team from ’75-’78.
After his senior year he had a tryout
with the Detroit Lions, but did
not make the roster. Upon being
released he received a phone call
from Herb Deromedi encouraging
him to return to CMU to finish his
degree. Rade cannot imagine how
different his life would be without
his business degree. He went on
to work successfully in business
and ran his own company with his
wife for 16 years before selling it
in 2005.
Gary A. Straus graduated with
a B.S. in business administration.
He is the director of strategic
accounts at The Wireless Source
in Bloomfield Hills. He also is a
graduate of Kharkiv Academy of
Railway Transport Engineering,
Kharkiv, Ukraine. Gary was married
on September 15, 2006, to Nataliya
Makarova. They reside in West
Bloomfield.
