Administrative Budget for the year 2013
Explanatory Note
INCOME
1. Affiliation Fees
Income from affiliation fees for the year 2013 is calculated based on the new affiliation
fees and structure that were approved by the 2 nd ITUC-AP Regional Conference held in
May 2011 in Singapore.
The expected income from affiliation fees for the year 2013 is estimated based on the
exchange rate of US$1 = S$1.20 which is lower at the current prevailing rates taking into
accounts the changes in paying membership of the affiliated organisations and other
unforeseen circumstances.
2. ITUC General Fund Contribution
The ITUC General Fund Contribution to the ITUC-AP is maintaining in the terms of in
Singapore Dollars (SGD) base. It is requested that the estimated budget for the year
2013 be increased by 3.7% (SGD 46,782.00) to cover inflationary costs and to sustain
stable financial positions of the ITUC-AP Secretariat.
The increase in 3.7% of the ITUC General Fund Contribution is based on the mid-year of
the Singapore Consumer Price Index (CPI) less accommodation. The Singapore CPI
had been upped by 10% since from the year 2008 to 2012.
EXPENDITURE
The overall expenses are estimated on the basic of practically expected expenditure to be
incurred for the year.
1.0 Conference, Meetings and Travelling Expenses – no change.
2.0 Special Mission – increased in provision comparing to 2012.
3.0 Office Rent and Upkeep – slight increased on office maintenance, cleaning &
utilities.
Note: The Office space at the NTUC Centre for the ITUC-AP Secretariat is
estimated to be S$135,000 (4,000 sq ft) per annum paid/contributed by the
SNTUC, Singapore.
4.0 Office Expenses – no change.
