7 Consideration of a contract change to benefit from the<br />

The Contractors Committee<br />
• Took note of the new contract clause on audit certificates, which could<br />
benefit many of the Contractors, by allowing an exemption under certain<br />
circumstances;<br />
• Agreed unanimously to negotiate a contract change to incorporate the new<br />
clause in the <strong>GEMS</strong> contract;<br />
• Noted the potential disadvantages of the exemption, and that Contractors<br />
eligible for the exemption may choose not to avail of the exemption.<br />

The Contractor’s Committee expressed its appreciation of the contribution of<br />
Mr Keith Edwards to the <strong>GEMS</strong> project and wished him well in his retirement<br />
