Message from the Director:<br />
The last couple of months have been busy ones here at the<br />
Maryland Lottery. The Ravens Cash Fantasy Internet promotion<br />
came to an exciting conclusion with the final drawings on<br />
February 9. Thanks to your hard work the ticket has sold out<br />
for the third year in a row.<br />
Now with the launch of the new MONOPOLY scratch-off<br />
we are looking forward to promoting another ticket which is<br />
certain to attract players’ attention. With its classic board game<br />
graphics and bonus drawings, the potential for sales is huge.<br />
The new Strike It Rich scratch-off and Orioles promotion is also sure to strike a chord with<br />
players. The Lottery is looking forward to partnering with the Orioles once again this year.<br />
As we continue to incorporate innovative products and promotions, we are also working<br />
to boost your sales performance with our new SalesMaker program. I encourage you to<br />
read the article on page 3 of this edition of <strong>Retailer</strong> <strong>Report</strong> to learn more about this<br />
exciting initiative. And, of course, remember your Lottery representative is always eager<br />

Is it ok for my customers to use Lottery<br />
ticket stock to write down their numbers?<br />
answer:<br />
No. Ticket stock should be used for the<br />
express purpose of generating tickets.<br />
The unused stock should never be left on<br />
your counters as it may pose a security risk.<br />
In fact, all unused ticket stock should be<br />
promptly discarded in a secure manner,<br />
preferably by shredding, to prevent the<br />
possibility of its misuse.<br />
