search for at every subsequent meal.
So, rest assured, your base for the week no
matter where you stay will be impressive.
And you can lap up the luxury comforts
whenever you are not playing golf.
Alternatively you can head out of the
complex and take in the sights and history of
Antalya city, or enjoy watersports, or visit the
famous waterfall of Manavgat.
A golf holiday in Belek can be excitingly
adventurous or it can be gloriously lazy.
If you want the former, the opportunities
away from the course are there; if you prefer
the latter, you can never leave your complex’s
luxury comforts save for being whisked from
your hotel reception to the course and back.
We’ve got to this point without
mentioning the courses, which illustrates
there is more to Belek than merely top-class
golf. In fact, the courses remain the most
compelling reason to visit, along with the
outstanding climate.

Lykia Links has a feel of
the Scottish seaside.
Continental Europe, we ranked four courses
in the main list and three in the second 100.
Seven courses – half the number in Belek –
were deemed Top 100 quality.
No other area can boost that kind of
conversion rate.
What’s more, when the new ranking is
unveiled later this year don’t be surprised to
see courses be promoted from the Next 100
into the main list and for new names to
appear in the second 100.
The stand-out courses are Lykia Links,
Antalya’s PGA Sultan, Carya and Cornelia
(Faldo). Lykia is a top 50-ranked course in
Europe set right next to the sea. It looks like
a links – with sleepered bunkers, wispy
rough and sand hills – even if it is not the
kind of terrain, or rather grass, that you will
