her previous roles as Head of the International Economy Division of Bank
of Spain, the Head of Emerging Economies at the Research Department at
Banco Santander and a member of the Counsel to the Executive Board of
the European Central Bank, she was also an economist at the International
Monetary Fund. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from George Washington;
