Streaming from iPAD/Phone
Having a docking station for your iPAD
would look about as silly as using it as
a phone. Fortunately docking stations
are about to be a thing of the past...
With the new operating system for
iPOD touch, iPAD and iPhone 4 they
open for a fantastic new way to get
wireless digital audio to your Hegel
DAC.
What you need is:
- Hegel HD10 or H70
- Apple Airport Express (App. 100 USD)
- Download the newest OS to your
Apple device
You simply connect the Airport express
to your home network, and with
an optical digital cable to the Hegel
DAC.
In the player of your Apple device
(iTunes or iPod) you will be able to
choose which output device you use.
Either itself (headphone/speaker) or
the Airport Express. It will stream full
16bit / 48kHz files over wireless LAN.
With the unique re-clocking in the
Hegel DAC’s, we can repair the timing
issues, and will give you near perfect
sound from this simple and affordable
solution.
H30/P30 On stock
The H30 / P30 is finally on stock in Norway
and on its way to the stock in US.
This is a contender for best amplifier in
the world. Extremely precise and natural.
The H30 mono’s even have bigger
output stages than well known giants
like the McIntosh MC2KW.

H70 - Product
of the year!
Hegel H70 was awarded the prestigious
Amplifier of the Year award by the biggest
magazine in Scandinavia - Lyd & Bilde (NO)
and it’s Swedish sister magazine - Bild &
Ljud Hemma.
They say themselves that these awards are
sometimes hard to decide upon, but that
in this case it was no hesitations. It was
a “slam dunk” in favor of the H70. For the
price it is simply an astounding product.
Hegel & Audio Physic - demo
Anders from Hegel and Stephan from
Audio Physic participated at Ljudmakarn’s
demo weekend in Stockholm. We
played on the H30 mono blocks and P30
together with AP Cardeas loudspeakers.
It sounded extremely precise,
and many commented it was the best
sound they had heard in their life. Regardless
of price.
Hegel & Magico Q5 - Tokyo
The first off shore demo of the H30/
P30 combination was at the Tokyo
high end show this year. Speakers
was Magico Q5 (App. 70K USD). After
listening to the Hegel combo the manager
of Magico speakers immediately
demanded that Hegel should be playing
on the Q5’s throughout the show.
Nothing else would do.
Hembioconsult show
In late November the Swedish dealer,
Hembioconsult pulled off a massive
hotel show in Alingsås - Sweden.
Thanks to Lennart, Fredrik and Lennarts
wife for a great weekend. In the
end let’s quote from the Swedish forums:
“I think we can all agree that the
best sound came from the Hegel room”.

Bent interviewed in Tokyo
In the beginning of December we
“shipped” Bent Holter over to Tokyo for
an interview with the magazines. With
only 30 hours in the city he had to make
every second count. Number two from
the left is Yuko Yamanaka of Electori.

HD2 samples
HD2 DAC samples
are now ready to
ship. Larger volumes
should be
available shortly after
the CES show in
Las Vegas. The CES
is the official launch of this magnificent
little USB DA-Converter.
Hegel in Russia
In November, Anders from Hegel
made a round trip to the audio shops
in Moscow together with Max, Oleg
and Ilya from Rominox. We introduced
the DA-Converters, demonstrated jitter
and talked in general about computer
audio. Always with the Hegel
1-2-3 demo system. Thanks to all the
guys at Rominox. Especially for the final
celebration at the pub. NICE!
