Manager – Computer Control – Norco Manufacturing Complex<br />
Additional responsibilities for the Olefin Facilities. Completed implementation of all<br />
above mentioned projects as well as Olefin On-line optimizations, first in-line gasoline<br />
blending exemption for the EPA(direct to pipelines and ships) and completion of<br />
Complex-wide real-time material balancing/accounting system along with significant<br />
integration of Planning tools/optimizers with the on-line unit optimizers. Significant<br />
activities in reconciliation and real time model updates. Also led significant system<br />
rebuilds after devastating CCU explosion May 1988. (Decision was made to not restart<br />
facility until all real time computer systems were available)<br />
Superintendent – Control Systems Engineering<br />
Led consolidation of Computer Control and Instrumentation Departments.<br />
Responsibilities included all automation activities with significant vendor contract<br />
renewals, retraining of staff to new Control System Engineer classification(combination<br />
of Advanced Control and Instrumentation) and new Maintenance Craft hiring/training.<br />

Shell Agricultural Chemicals(Mobile, Denver and Houston)<br />
Instrument, Process and Environmental Engineer<br />
Numerous unit support and project assignments including relocation and start-up of<br />
Denver units to Mobile, incinerator and biotreater designs, animal health and consumer<br />
products production and environmental permits. Also worked with team to negotiate sale<br />
of Technology to Soviet Union.<br />

Numerous assignments including process research, pilot plant design/operation/scale-up<br />
for final design, coordination of design operability reviews and license negotiation with<br />
Sumitomo Chemicals.<br />
Operations Manager – Mobile BLADEX® Facility<br />
Initially responsible for operation of raw materials(coordination of toll conversion<br />
agreements with Degussa Chemical),reaction, solvent recovery and effluent treating<br />
sections. After start-up also assumed responsibility for Product crystalization, recovery,<br />
solids handling, packaging and shipping.<br />
Pinkerton Security Services(1969-1972)<br />
Security guard at numerous facilities and co-employed at several research facilities<br />
monitoring experiments during off-hours. Developed initial remote monitoring system<br />
for laboratory use.<br />
