the fact that (often strong) investment justifications do not seem to convince some fleets of the value of technology implementation Generally, participants showed interest in considering how TIMTC might learn from past programs to develop more widely accepted incentives in the future. Finally, participants offered recommendations for areas of possible TIMTC interest and involvement. One participant recommended that TIMTC be involved in coordinating the policy and technology angle of commercial distracted driving. Another participant requested that TIMTC develop case studies outlining how various industry segments (e.g. early adopters, small and medium-sized fleets, etc.) approach technology implementation. Another participant noted the disjointed nature of technology solutions. For example, a fleet may have one communication device for routine communications, another for the OBC, and still another for the camera system. It was noted that a unified solution would be preferable. Closing Remarks Participants were thanked once more for attending the webinar. TIMTC staff noted that this was the first in a series of webinars, and recommended that participants sign up for the TIMTC newsletter, if they had not done so already, to receive notifications of future webinar topics.
