Gratitude and Good Wishes to our District Retirees
Sharon Bevis has enjoyed Mariemont as a parent and teacher for many years.
Sharon was highly involved in PTO activities as a parent and teacher. She is a
highly respected community member and a favorite among the students at Mariemont
Elementary. Mrs. Bevis leaves a positive mark on the staff as a leader
among teachers and a good friend to all.
Judy Hastings has contributed to Mariemont schools for 25 years in various
capacities as a classroom assistant, an office assistant, and a computer lab
assistant. Mrs. Hasting’s most recent assignment has been in the capacity of administrative
assistant at Mariemont Elementary. She is a highly valued member
of our building team and will be greatly missed.
Debbie Koehne has been a conscientious and hard working intervention specialist
at Mariemont High School for a number of years. Her ability to communicate
with faculty and staff and her empathy for her students have allowed her to
become a successful teacher. We will all miss her valued competence as an
instructor and the quiet and sincere manner in which she advocates for her
students.
Darlynne Rief has spent the majority of her career in kindergarten and first grade
classrooms at Fairfax Elementary and Mariemont Elementary, however within
her time in our district, she has also tutored many students inside and outside the
regular classroom setting. Mrs. Rief’s students remember her productions and
learning activities that she embedded within her lessons to make learning fun.
Fran Rust has taught school children for thirty five years. Thirty of those years
have been in the Mariemont School District. Most recently she served as the
district’s Title I reading specialist. She will be missed by the students she taught,
parents, and staff members. We wish her all the best.
Fran Frust, Debbie Koehne,
Sharon Bevis, Darylnne Rief
and Judy Hastings were honored
at a retirement dinner.
