James L. Walker (director/scenic designer/technical director)<br />
is an <strong>Aberdeen</strong> native. He graduated from NSU and RHS, has acted,<br />
directed and adjudicated professionally for more than 30 years and<br />
has been ACT’s artistic/managing director for 25 years. He has earned<br />
numerous directing and scenic design awards from the AACT biennial<br />
festivals over the years.<br />
Brian T. Schultz (assistant technical director/sound and light<br />
designer) resides in <strong>Aberdeen</strong> with wife, Juli, and daughters, Erica and<br />
Natalie. He is also ACT’s education coordinator and Storybook Land<br />
<strong>Theatre</strong>’s director. No stranger to ACT’s stage, his last role was Joseph in<br />
this spring’s “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.” Schultz<br />
received Best Supporting Actor at the AACT national festival for his role<br />
as Russ Renner in ACT’s “How to Talk Minnesotan: The Musical.”<br />
Judy Jencks (assistant director/stage manager) first appeared on<br />
stage in ACT’s “A Christmas Carol” (1999). She has been on stage or<br />
behind-the-scenes for most shows since then. She was props mistress for<br />
“How to Talk Minnesotan: The Musical.” She and husband Tony have<br />
two grown children. Judy also volunteers at Avera St. Luke’s.<br />
Marilyn Davis (costumer) made her ACT mainstage-costuming<br />
debut with “Anything Goes” (2006), after costuming many YPT shows.<br />
Since then she has costumed six shows including “The King and I”<br />
(2008) set in Siam of the 1890s. She received Best Costumes at the<br />
Region V AACT festival for “How to Talk Minnesotan: The Musical.”<br />
She and husband John have two daughters in college.<br />

Marilyn Burckhard (props mistress) is originally from Polo.<br />
Shawn and Erin are her grown children and Amos is her feline friend.<br />
She is in her 12th year as an ACT volunteer, helping out wherever<br />
needed and in whatever capacity. She was assistant director/stage manager<br />
for “How to Talk Minnesotan: The Musical.”<br />
Heidi Jenson (technical assistant/sound board operator), a<br />
Watertown native, started with ACT in May with set construction for<br />
“Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.” She received a<br />
Bachelor of Arts in Technical <strong>Theatre</strong> and a minor in Chinese Studies<br />
from the University of North Dakota and has been on the staff of the<br />
Huron (Ohio) Playhouse, Sieur Du Luth Summer Arts Festival, Skylight<br />
Opera <strong>Theatre</strong> in Milwaukee, WI and the Des Moines Metro Opera.<br />
Heidi enjoys live music, coffee and bunnies (as pets, not food) and looks<br />
forward to being part of the ACT family.<br />
Josh Jung (light board operator) was in this summer’s Storybook<br />
Land <strong>Theatre</strong> cast as well as being involved with ACT’s “Joseph and the<br />
Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.” He plans to stay involved with theater<br />
when he goes to college in the fall. Josh will be attending Coe College,<br />
Cedar Rapids, Iowa studying music.<br />
