U.S. Dairy Progeny Test Program

TEBOW-P
dam: Forest Glen Abes Phantom-P EX-91%
Price: $6
aAa: 513
DMS: 561
• TEBOW-P is polled.
• Higher Fat and Protein test to increase your price per cwt
• At + 4.19 JUI …is there a better polled bull for udders?
Dam: Forest Glen Abes Phantom-P EX-91% by Abe Recently calved the 3rd time at 3-08
MGD: Forest Glen Kirks Phantom-P EX-91% by Kirk-P
MGGD: Forest Glen Diamonds Fanny EX-90% by 29JE3210
MGGGD: Forest Glen Avery Sally VG-84% by Avery
Forest Glen Abes Phantom-P is easily one of the most unique and appealing polled cows in the breed today. At $573CM,
Phantom-P is Abe’s highest Cheese Merit daughter. This 3rd generation EX cow has recently calved for the 3rd time at
3-08. Phantom-P and her dam are both over 45 pounds PTA for Protein.
TEBOW-P is her only son in A.I. He has a unique line-bred Lemvig pedigree. You will not find Impuls, Artist nor Maid in this
pedigree. If you wish to maintain the high component test of these bloodlines and make dramatic udder improvement…
put TEBOW into the game. These same attributes make him an appealing choice for your cows and heifers sired by Dale,
Gannon, JEVON and other high performance bulls.

29JE3709
MINDEN
Price: $5
aAa: 516
DMS: 345, 135
• $473CM to improve the profitability of your herd
• Improves all health, fertility and longevity traits
• Near-perfect teat size and placement
Forest Glen Abes Minden EX-90% has become a priority bull mother for ABS in the Forest Glen herd. We hope to offer you
additional sons in the future. Fresh a 3rd time at 3-10 Abes Minden is a strong, vigorous, trouble-free cow that thrives in the
organic environment.
MINDEN and TEBOW-P have very similar pedigrees as both are line-bred descendents of Lemvig with Avery and Barber in the
maternal lines. With such pedigrees you can expect higher component test and udder improvement.
With the shorter well placed teat we would consider MINDEN an excellent choice to use on the descendents of Gratitude, such
as your heifers by Dale or Gannon. He should also work well to follow HALLMARK sons such as SHOWTIME or Geronimo.

ABS Cornerstone Spotlight
Hi-Land Farm, Wyoming, NY
David & Greg Chamberlain
Hi-Land Farm in Wyoming, NY is owned by brothers David and Greg Chamberlain, who are
dedicated Jersey cattle breeders with 670 cows and a rolling herd average of 18,696M 4.9% 911F
3.5% 654P. The farm was originally established in 1888 and has grown to 1500 acres where corn,
hay, wheat and barley are raised.
David Chamberlain oversees the milking herd at Hi-Land, in addition to his responsibilities
as the current President of American Jersey Cattle Association. Greg manages the feeding and crops,
while his wife Jodi handles all the bookkeeping for the dairy. David’s wife Dana oversees the calves
and heifer transition barn. Other key team members include: John Milroy, herdsperson and lead
milker for 16 years; Diane Morris, night herdsperson for the past 15 years; and C.J. Duckworth who
handles the feeding.
Chamberlains have used several key ABS sires over the years, including TOP BRASS. “We
used him really heavy for a couple years. At one time there were 125 daughters here and the total
herd was not quite 500 head,” David explains. HALLMARK and SHOWTIME were used for their
excellent feet and legs. There are currently 62 daughters of 29JE3346 JEVON in the herd, which
David describes as “real solid cattle.”
The Chamberlains have worked with Paddock’s Breeding Service, their local ABS
Representative, for over 40 years and really appreciate working with Don Court from Paddock’s
team. ABS sires currently being used in the herd are LEGAL, LYNDON, HEADLINE and
BALLARD, along with 10 units of each Cornerstone young sire sampled per month. “We also really
enjoy Dick Smith (ABS Jersey Sire Analyst). He really helps us when we think about our breeding
program! The dairy business isn’t getting any easier and relationships in business that you can count
on mean quite a lot,” notes David.
