This season <strong>Southern</strong> <strong>University</strong> at <strong>New</strong> <strong>Orleans</strong> experience great team and individual success. The athletic<br />
program finished 3rd in the standing for the All-sports conference championship while regularly fielding<br />
fewer athletes in track and field than competing schools and operating fewer athletic programs overall than<br />
a number of conference foes.<br />
In addition several individual athletes were singled out for their achievements at both the All-Conference<br />
and All-American levels. Women’s basketball coach Elston King was named GCAC Co-Coach of the Year.<br />
