wedding parties, meetings, incentives and
exclusive use groups. We offer professional
service and organisation whilst delivering

GROUP USE OVERVIEW
Exclusive Use
This is when a group takes over the entire resort and its facilities and can make use of all venues at their
discretion. The resort becomes exclusive and no external visitors are permitted. The requirements for
taking exclusive use are a minimum of 25 rooms and/or 60 guests, and a minimum 3 night stay.
Small to Medium Groups
Due to the small and intimate nature of the resort we restrict non-exclusive use group bookings to no
more than 25 rooms at any one time. Whilst we are committed to the requirements and wishes of small to
medium sized groups, we also ensure we remain mindful of the experience of our other in-house guests.
For this reason some venue restrictions may apply. A minimum 2 night stay applies for all non-exclusive
groups with a maximum number of 3 adults per bure.
Weather
Whilst we have a number of external venues for wedding ceremonies, cocktail parties, etc on site, we do
live in the tropics and can be subject to changes in the weather. Consequently a wet weather alternative
must be confirmed and agreed.
VENUES
For small to medium sized groups we have dedicated our Treetops Restaurant as our primary venue for
all private dining events at Malolo.
Wedding Ceremony Locations
Malolo Island is the perfect tropical backdrop for your special day. Malolo weddings can be customised to
accommodate any special needs or individual wishes of the wedding
couple and include your choice of romantic ceremony locations such as
the beach at sunset or amongst our tropical gardens.
Cocktails
For private cocktail parties, venues include the beach in front of the
Beach Bar or the lawn in front of our lagoon pool. Requires a minimum
of 25 people. Whilst these are great outdoor locations, these are subject
to both tidal and weather conditions.

Special Events
Treetops Restaurant
Set above the terrace and below a canopy of trees and the Fijian sky, Treetops
Restaurant offers a relaxed and intimate dining experience for adults only. The
area has its own bar and our acclaimed Executive Chef offers a menu of Pacific
Rim cuisine with local Pacific Island influences and produce. The restaurant is
usually a la carte but for sole use groups we are also able to organise set menus
and buffet options depending on the group’s size.
2 to 16 guests:
Parties of this size can be accommodated with ease in the Restaurant at the same time allowing other
guests to enjoy the Restaurant. Children are not permitted under these circumstances. Tables are limited
to 8 guests per table to facilitate a la carte service and menu. Limited menu options for parties of this size
are also available. As other guest may be dining in the restaurant at the same time speeches or
excessively loud behaviour is not permitted.
16 to 30 guests or more:
Parties of this size tend to have more impact on a small restaurant of this nature and consequently sole
use is required allowing guests more flexibility to have speeches, music, dancing and children. For groups
of this size we are able to offer buffet options or a three course, two choice menu. For groups larger than
30 we are able to offer either a set menu or a 3 course 2 choice menu or 2 course 2 choice menu.
30 to 60 guests:
For groups of this size we are able to offer a selection of buffet options or a set menu only.
A standard charge of FJ$400.00 applies for exclusive use of Treetops restaurant for any size group.
Additional set up fees apply for private dinners and cocktail parties at alternative venues. Price available
on application.

Private Buffet Options
Following are examples of different buffet options, however if you have any special requests or
requirements please let us know as we can individually cater and theme buffets. Please note a minimum
of 30 people is required for a private buffet or a surcharge will apply.
