We are at the end of another year and again
we are very busy leading up to Christmas.
The Fete is in November and we will have
a stall, so come along and browse and if you
like what we have you can purchase and
support our seniors in the community.
We are organising presents for the Nursing
Homes for Christmas. They enjoy us going
along each Christmas to give them presents
and we enjoy doing this for them. If you
would like to join our group, you are most
welcome. Leave your name at reception and
they will get in touch with us.
A couple of morning tea/ lunches have been
organized since our last Burst and all that
attended enjoyed their day. Bingo is played
and everyone goes home with a present
in hand. The three Nursing Homes are
Eddystone – Bexley, Bupa – Narwee, Banks
Lodge – Peakhurst and also we are attending
Kingsgrove Community Aid Centre.
Since the price of wool has risen over the
last couple of years we have to raise the
price of our sets that we make. They will be
$55.00 a set, or Bear $10.00, Hat $10.00,
Scarf $10.00 and Rugs will be $30.00. If
you would like to order any items please
leave your order at reception. We also do
cushions for $15.00 each. You can have any
of these items in any colour you wish.
Everyone in our group would like to thank
Board of Directors, Management and Staff
for their help over the last year. We would
like to wish all a Merry Christmas and a
Happy New Year and a safe and healthy
holiday season.
In closing I would like to thank the girls in our
group for a very productive year and hope
we can all do the same again next year.
Helped seniors in the past, hope to help
seniors in the future.

Sports Administrator’s Report
As we go to print and you are reading
this report, most of the Sporting bodies
have already, or are completing their club
championships. I have been closely following
these competitions without the members
knowing and have been informed of the
closeness of the championships.
It certainly shows the competitive nature of
the sportsmen and women of Kingsgrove
RSL Club. Even the outdoor lawn bowlers
certainly are challenging in their games with
other clubs. The losing team trophy between
Ramsgate RSL and Kingsgrove is an under
bed chamber. I think Kingsgrove have had
the honour of this trophy a number of times.
The Round Robin competition between the
Club’s sporting bodies has been completed
with the winner to be announced at the
Stars Tribute Night, Saturday 1st December.
Again, these competitions were very close
during the year with some surprising results.
I’m sure there are a number of members
within Kingsgrove RSL who are sports
minded but too shy to approach any of the
sporting bodies. If you can play or even if
you can’t play any these sports like Darts,
Snooker, Golf, and Indoor Bowls or can
catch a fish, it doesn’t matter; it’s the fun of
participating with others.
I’ve been saying these words for a long time
- “If you can laugh at yourself whilst others
laugh at you, you will enjoy yourself immensely”
