Originally set up as a park to let people look at deer close up
when they were a farming novelty. Council has not collected any
income nor incurred any expenses since taking over the park
from the Oroua County Council.
The land occupied by the grazer includes the 36 m plus wide
road reserve along the terrace with a narrow walkway currently
provided at that point.
There are some mature totara trees on the site.

Minor mowing costs not saved.
