Instrumental Music Lessons
Now that Years 11 and 13 have left, a number of instrumental music
lesson spaces have become available for younger students. We
currently offer lessons with the following instruments:
· Piano/ Keyboard
· Brass (Trumpet, Cornet, Horns, Baritone, Euphonium,
Trombone, Tuba)
· Woodwind (Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone)
· Guitar (All styles)
· Bass Guitar
· Violin
· Drum Kit
Instrumental teachers come into school and use our space to teach
on a self-employed basis. Lessons are usually offered in single
twenty minute slots. At present, on average, tuition is charged at a
rate of £8.00 per lesson, depending on the teacher. All of our
teachers are CRB checked and have a very good relationship with
the school.
In July, at the Year 6 information evening, any spaces will be offered
to next year’s Year 7 intake. Therefore now is the time to sign up for
lessons.
If your child would like to learn to play an instrument, they should
come to the music department and ask for an instrumental music
lessons contract. You should then sign it and return it to us as soon
as possible. Please be aware that slots are given on a first come, first
served basis.
