Licensing Virtual Hardware ID's<br />
This document is intended to support you determining the <strong>virtual</strong> hardware ID within a <strong>virtual</strong><br />
machine. With this <strong>virtual</strong> ID, which should not be mixed up with the MAC address, we will be<br />
able to create your desired <strong>XCAPI</strong> licence key.<br />
It is not possible to generate a licence key <strong>for</strong> <strong>virtual</strong> <strong>machines</strong> by using a dongle or the MAC address.<br />
This can be easily manipulated within <strong>virtual</strong> environments what could make the <strong>XCAPI</strong><br />
inoperative. Please avoid changing any MAC-Address of the VM after ordering the license key.<br />
Consider this also when moving or copying VM's. Afterwards the VM may request about the<br />
identifier. Here you implicitly have to select the option Keep its old identifier. Selecting a new<br />
identifier will change its MAC-Address and make your license key invalid.<br />
Determining the <strong>virtual</strong> hardware ID presumes a complete <strong>XCAPI</strong> installation.<br />
