34th Annual Mayfest In Pilot Mountain Friday May 8th - Sunday May 10th<br />
West Main Street, Pilot Mountain, NC 27041. Held in Pilot Mountain’s historic<br />
downtown, this annual spring festival offers local craft vendors, food, music,<br />
and much, much, more! The celebration begins on Friday and draws to a close<br />
on Sunday afternoon. Main Street is blocked off to vehicle traffic to<br />
accommodate an array of arts, crafts, and food vendors in addition to live<br />
entertainment. Over 160 exhibitors. All work on display must be created by the<br />
exhibiting artist. No agents are allowed. However, some Commercial Vendors<br />
and Non-arts and craft items are accepted. 2012 estimated attendance of 20,000<br />

Stand Up for Autism World Paddleboard Association Race 7:00am -<br />
12:00pm Saturday May 9th Port City Club - 18665 Harborside Drive, Cornelius,<br />
NC 28031. My Aloha Paddle and Surf, in partnership with 3-time NASCAR champion<br />
crew chief Ray Evernham, will host Stand Up for Autism benefitting the IGNITE<br />
community center and the Autism Society of North Carolina on Lake Norman<br />
May 8-9, 2015, at Port City Club in Cornelius, NC. The event will feature Elite and<br />
Recreational races, which are open to the general public. Limited paddleboard<br />
rentals will be available on a first-reserve basis. Paddleboard fitness demos will<br />
also be held. The race is sanctioned by the World Paddle Association (WPA) and<br />

RockyFest 2015 Saturday May 9th 3451 Rocky Face Church Road, Hiddenite,<br />
NC 28636. Come celebrate Rocky Face Park’s third anniversary. RockyFest 2015<br />
will kick off at 8:30 am with the Rocky Face Trail Races (5K, 10K, 20K). Free rock<br />
climbing classes will be offered throughout the day beginning at 10am. Live<br />
music will entertain the crowd from 12 to 6pm with Thomas Garlow, J. Patrick<br />
Warren, Mary Elisabeth, The Neighbors, The Message, The Idle Time Band, as<br />
well as a “picking tent.” Children’s activities will be held from 11am to 6pm.<br />
