The SAUTER EY-modulo 5 automation station is the flagship of SAUTER‘s control 

and automation technology. As an open, future-oriented native BACnet system, it 

allows integration of all functions, devices and applications (including third-par ty 

products) with no problems at all. Integrated WEB technologies and extended 

modular functions of fer the per fect solution for ever y challenge of control engineering. 

Intuitive operation and emergency functions, monitoring and remote 

maintenance via the Internet together with extensive solution libraries in our CASE 

engineering software round out the scope of this pioneering technology from 

SAUTER.

LonMark standard.

so in addition to our BACnet and novaNet exper tise we now offer the SAUTER 

EY-modulo with support for the key LonMark standard. This member of the family

functions in particular.

and integration. 

Thanks to SAUTER EY -modulo 2, you can conveniently and quickly add

Brief Description: 

The moduTher m3220 system is a weather-controlled heating group 

regulator supplying domestic hot water through district heat and a solar 

energy coupling. The two heating circuits are switched on and off in 

automatic mode by timer programs, enabled time limits and the frost 

protection function. The flow temperature of the heating circuits is regulated 

to the daytime or night-time setpoint in dependence on the outside 

temperature and time of day. The party function enables a comfortable 

extension of the daytime setpoint. Overheating protection and floordrying 

function are available for under floor heating. It is possible to 

signal a collective external alarm. Water heating, circulation pump and 

anti-legionella function are controlled by timer programs. The circulation 

pump switch contact can be used for a collective alarm or for the circulation 

pump. The anti-scalding protection on the boiler output is able 

to block the boiler heating process. The hot water priority switch is able 

to reduce heating circuit output in favour of hot water preparation. The 

best possible use of solar energy is achieved by blocking the boilers 

heating function for the heating circuits and changing the setpoint. 

Boiler heating using solar energy is enabled by the solar panels› overheating 

protection. Heat exchange regulation is blocked by primar y 

restriction functions. Heating circuits and hot water preparation are 

controllable remotely by mobile or telephone in conjunction with other 

optional accessories.

The moduClim2210 system is a 2-stage ventilation system with a heating, 

cooling and heat recovery sequence. Outside air is sucked in by 

the supply air ventilator and cleaned by filters with differential pressure 

control. Supply air is heated depending on the dif ference between 

outside and ambient air temperature. If the external temperature is low 

the supply air is first heated by a heat exchanger using exhaust ambient 

air. Independent exter nal air heating or cooling can be switched on 

and of f using the system‘s timer program. In addition, the system is 

always shut down in the event of a malfunction message from the motor, 

air flow control, fire, etc. It is possible to signal a collective external

The moduClim2230 is a 2-stage ventilation system with a heating, cooling 

and heat recovery sequence. Outside air is sucked in by the supply 

air ventilator and cleaned by filters with dif ferential pressure control. 

Supply air is either heated by heat recovery and air heater or cooled 

by the cooling coil, depending on the difference between supply air 

and ambient air. Ambient air is then transported back to the external 

environment by an exhaust air fan. The system can be switched on and 

off via a timer program. Independent external cooling can be activated 

if necessary. The system is always shut down in the event of a malfunction 

message from the motor, air flow control, fire, etc. It is possible to 

signal a collective external alarm in this context. The filter monitor will

The system registers, signals and controls lighting conditions in an Automation 

Station via change-over switches for On/Of f functions. Other 

functions activated by light sensors, timer settings and other dependencies 

are also definable. The signal from light sensors, one each of which

the detected light value exceeds or falls below a specified threshold

The system adjusts to the required setpoint (comfor t, reduced, night) 

according to the current operating mode. The motion detector influences 

the operating mode (comfor t/reduced) and room lighting. It 

blocks and unblocks automated shading functionality . The supply 

air drawn in via the fancoil unit (air intake) is heated or cooled as 

required. In addition, an integrated sensor monitors the temperature 

and switches the system to frost protection mode if a certain minimum 

value is reached. If the window is opened (window contact) whilst the 

heating is on, the system will close the heating valve and activate frost 

control. The same applies if cooling is activated. The cooling valve in 

the fancoil unit closes if dew-point monitoring is switched on and activated. 

Lights are switched and dimmed using the operating controls. 

The lights are activated via an ESC (electronic signal converter) with a 

0/1-10V connection. The blinds are closed and opened automatically 

according to room conditions; the operating device is equipped with a 

manual override function. Blinds are opened and blocked from further 

use in the event of a storm hazard or fire. The operating device displays 

the following operating situations: operating mode, setpoint correction, 

frost monitoring, dew-point hazard, window open. Additionally, the 

device can also display the room temperature or the setpoint.

The system adjusts to the required setpoint (comfor t, reduced, night) 

according to the current operating mode. The motion detector influences 

the operating mode (comfor t/reduced) and room lighting. It 

blocks and unblocks automated shading functionality. Heating occurs 

via a floor convector with an integrated 3-stage fan. Cooling occurs 

via chilled beams in the ceiling. The operating device can be used to 

open the window. If the window is opened (window contact) whilst the 

heating is on, the system will close the heating valve and activate frost 

control. The same applies if cooling is activated. The cooling valve in 

the chilled beam ceiling closes if dew-point monitoring is switched on 

and activated. Lights are switched and dimmed using the operating 

controls. A light sensor detects room brightness to enable the regulation 

of constant light. Control commands are transferred to a DALI light 

control system. The blinds are closed and opened automatically according 

to room conditions; the operating device is equipped with a 

manual override function. Blinds are opened and blocked from further 

use in the event of a storm hazard or fire. The operating device displays 

the following operating situations: operating mode, setpoint correction, 

frost monitoring, dew-point hazard, window open, blind blocked. It 

can also display room temperature or time/date information.
