The ioProx reader electronics are vandal and weather resistant, and are encapsulated in epoxy (except the P600 which is sealed with a rubber gasket).<br />

All readers have an integrated piezo buzzer and bicolor LED indicating system/reader status. Optional tamper switch and user input modules are available.<br />

Easy installation<br />

The ioProx reader's small size provides flexibility for mounting; they can be<br />

installed on walls, door mullions, or single and double gang boxes.<br />

Voltage Requirements<br />

Depending on the model selected, power requirements range 5 to 14 VDC or 12<br />

to 28 VDC (P600), for compability with virtually any controller on the market. This<br />

allows a system to be upgraded simply by changing readers and cards, without<br />

rewiring<br />

Unshielded Cable<br />

The ioProx readers can be installed using unshielded cable to a distance of up to<br />

1000 ft. (300 m) from the controller. Using this type of cable significantly reduces<br />

installation costs.<br />

XSF Security<br />

XSF (eXtended Secure Format) readers are compatible only with Kantech<br />

software, with access to over 137 billion unique codes. Kantech's XSF cards<br />

provide increased security and absolute guarantee against card duplication.<br />

Integrated Command Buttons (P200/P400)<br />

An optional integrated command button module can be added to the P200 and<br />

P400 models. The two buttons are form C contacts that can be used to perform<br />

different functions such as arming/disarming an alarm panel, serving as a door<br />

bell when connected to a buzzer, etc.<br />

Integrated 12-Touch Keypad<br />

The P555 provides an ideal method of increasing security by combining reader<br />

and keypad while keeping the cost down. Since the keypad data is transmitted<br />

on the same wires as reader data, an existing reader only installation can be<br />

easily upgraded by replacing the reader with a P555KP reader with integrated<br />

keypad. There is no need to pull additional cabling. The keypad output is based<br />

on industry standard 8-bit burst format.<br />
