Locations<br />
<strong>B<strong>ARC</strong></strong> <strong>Housing</strong>’s facilities are located in <strong>Broward</strong> County,<br />
specifically, Davie. The property <strong>is</strong> approximately 4.5 acres<br />
nestled in the heart of a desirable residential<br />
neighborhood. It <strong>is</strong> within two miles of University Drive and<br />
Interstate 595 which <strong>is</strong> a major intersection in the center of<br />
the County. The property includes three homes each with 6<br />
bedrooms, living/recreational area, kitchen/dining area,<br />
and staff offices. An outdoor pavilion provides for recreational and le<strong>is</strong>ure activities for<br />
the residents and staff.<br />

Programs Available to Residents<br />
<strong>B<strong>ARC</strong></strong> <strong>Housing</strong> provides a comprehensive array of<br />
intensive specialized services, including but not<br />
limited to nursing, dietary, pharmacological,<br />
psychiatric, psychological, behavioral therapy,<br />
physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech<br />
therapy to thirty-six (36) individuals with<br />
developmental d<strong>is</strong>abilities who also have severe<br />
behavioral challenges, psychiatric d<strong>is</strong>orders and/or<br />
significant functional skill impairments. Additionally,<br />
individuals receive training, ass<strong>is</strong>tance, superv<strong>is</strong>ion<br />
or support in areas such as health, social, le<strong>is</strong>ure, recreation, personal care,<br />
transportation, finances and homemaking to ensure that all of their needs are met 24<br />
hours per day seven days per week.
Staff<br />
Management <strong>is</strong> provided on a day-to day bas<strong>is</strong> by an<br />
admin<strong>is</strong>trator and a team of professionals, including,<br />
but not limited to a behavior analyst, a health care<br />
coordinator and a social services special<strong>is</strong>t, who are<br />
experienced in the field of developmental d<strong>is</strong>abilities<br />
and the operation of ICF’s. Internal operating<br />
procedures, quality assurance and staff training<br />
programs are implemented by th<strong>is</strong> team.<br />
