This module is designed for health and fitness professionals working in<br />

hydrotherapy settings. It contains aquatic exercises that use the<br />

assistance, support or resistance of buoyancy. Strengthening and<br />

stretching exercises in this module cover all major body parts.<br />

Exercises are performed in water at either shoulder or waist level and can<br />

be executed in a variety of pool sizes. Aids such as a float, stick, ball etc.<br />

are used in some exercises.<br />

Stand straight with your elbows at a right angle and<br />

upper arms against your sides.<br />

Bring your forearms inwards and outwards.<br />

Holding the handrail lean forwards stretching your arm<br />

forwards on the surface.<br />

A float may be used to assist the stretch.<br />

knee towards your stomach.<br />

Straighten the knee which is bent forwards and push it<br />

down towards the bottom.<br />

straightening your leg out in front on the surface.<br />

Push down on float and hold it just under surface.<br />
