A police revolver incorporating some<br />
.L'\.. PPC revolver features results in a<br />
compact, easy to carry weapon that hits<br />
where it is pointed, and stays on target<br />
during firing.<br />
It all started one day last winter when<br />
Chuck Pulliam, member of the Yuma<br />
Police Department, and handgun enthusiast,<br />
complained to me about not being able<br />
to find what he wanted in the way ofa duty<br />
weapon. Chuck was carrying an S&W 19<br />
custom 6" with Bo-Mar rib. Over the past<br />
several years we had tuned it, put custom<br />
grips on it, and had gone as far as practical.<br />
I was beginning to think Chuck was relying<br />
on gadgetry to try to improve his<br />
shooting rather than spending his time at<br />
the range. Nonetheless, he is a customer<br />
and his checks don't bounce, so I tried to<br />
listen to him with some degree ofcourtesy.<br />
He complained about everything! First<br />
he complained about his gun butt poking<br />
him in the ribs when he sat in the patrol<br />
car, then he complained that he couldn't<br />
lean over to reach the right door, and on<br />
and on.<br />
When I more or less tactfully suggested<br />
he might find a 4" gun more comfortable<br />
and he said he refused to sacrifice accuracy<br />
