Hyundai ix35 is superbly designed, with a dynamic and sporty image, a more refined profile with a roomier cabin, extra

REFINED AND SPORTY
The overall spaciousness and comfort of the ix35 is impressive. A more comfortable ride is
achieved with increased driver’s seat range front/back and up/down, so whether you are
tall or short, the seats can be adjusted to fit.
Furthermore, with 60:40 split rear-seats, there’s
room to carry all the larger necessities of life,
equivalent to three golf bags and three large
shopping bags (when second row seats are
occupied). There is plenty of room for the pets,
shopping, sports equipment or luggage.
Added convenience is found with handy
features such as the auto light control system
(Elite variants only), which automatically
switches headlights on or off as needed. Take
your music with you wherever the drive ends
up; the ix35 audio system includes iPod ® and
USB Auxiliary connectivity.
ENGINE START/STOP BUTTON
Convenience is improved by adding an engine
start / stop button with proximity key (Elite
variants only). With the proximity key in the
pocket of the driver, all you need to do to get
the motor running is depress the brake pedal, and
with a push of a button, you are on your way.
X’ SHAPED CENTRE FASCIA
Black and metallic accents on all the controls and
switches achieve a polished finish to the driver
and front passenger area. Overall, the ‘X’ shaped
centre fascia gives a dynamic appeal to the
interior design.

ESC – ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL

The ix35’s ESC system, and advanced standard safety feature, helps you remain in control
of your vehicle during critical situations to avoid serious accidents. The ESC system
achieves this by comparing the driver’s intention with the momentary vehicle behaviour
and controls the Antilock Braking (ABS) and Traction Control Systems (TCS) accordingly,
to initiate the appropriate corrective action by selectively braking individual wheels and
controlling engine power. This stabilises the vehicle and keeps it on track.

Even difficult driving conditions can be contained.
The ix35’s handling performance is enhanced
by several active safety features including
Electronic Stability Control (ESC) which helps
reduce driver understeer and oversteer as well
as Electronic Brake-Force Distribution (EBD),
which applies the optimum pressure to individual
brakes in all braking situations. To reduce the
risk of accidents while moving in reverse gear,
a rear view camera is built into the tailgate and
the camera is displayed on a 3.5 inch colour
display integrated into the rear-view mirror (Elite
Variants only).
HILL START ASSIST CONTROL
It’s sometimes tough pulling away when you’re
facing uphill. No matter. Hill start Assist Control
minimises backward rolling on steep ascents.
DOWNHILL BRAKE CONTROL
To keep control and maintain steady speed
on steep, downhill descents, engage Downhill
Brake Control.
THE ix35 SAFETY PACK
Every ix35 is equipped with its own safety pack
– a fire extinguisher, reflective safety vest and
first aid kit.

With the ix35, you have the choice of three engines that deliver exceptional performance,
improved fuel economy and lower emissions.
2.0 litre Theta II multi-point fuel injected engine 2.4 litre Theta II multi-point fuel injected engine
2.0 litre R Diesel Engine with E-VGT
The 2.0 litre R-Series diesel engines delivers 135 kW of power at 4000 rpm, and 392 Nm of torque at 1800 - 2500 rpm. Over 500 prototype engines were
built during the 42 month-long development period which encompassed a wide variety of performance and emissions tests, endurance assessment, as well
as improvements in noise, vibration and harshness, cooling and lubrication studies.The ix35’s automatic 6-speed transmission with sequential sport shift,
allows you to enjoy manual style sequential ‘shifting’ without a clutch. The new six-speed automatic promises a performance edge, as well as improving fuel
efficiency and reducing CO2 emissions. The addition of a sixth gear enables closer spacing between gear ratios providing a better balance of performance
and fuel economy while the wide overall gear ratio helps deliver strong acceleration.
