Goals Of The Committee • To help alleviate overcrowding at affected schools, while maximizing usage at under‐utilized schools. • To consider the long‐term needs of the students and families within the Charles P. Allen Family of schools. • To operate within our mandate and according to HRSB policies.
CAPITAL PLANNING • December 2011 ‐ the Superintendent received a letter from the Department of Education outlining capital planning • April 2012 –Nova Scotia School Boards will each submit 10 capital projects requests • Decision will be made based on a number of factors including school utilization within the Board’s geographical area • Capital plans will be reviewed on an annual basis and projects that have not been approved/started in previous request will be reconsidered
