Lingaya’s Institute of Management and Technology, Faridabad was established in 1998
under the aegis of “ Lingaya’s Jankalyan Shikshan Sanstha”- in the memory of freedom
fighter Shri Gadde Lingaya who sacrificed his whole life to free his motherland India
from the shackles of narrow conventionalism, illiteracy and poverty .
In the last 11 years of excellence, LIMAT has been consistently ranked among the top
institutions for higher education in the country. LIMAT is widely recognized as a centre
of excellence in the technological and management education, quality research and
industry interface.
Effective from 5 th January 2009, LIMAT has been conferred with deemed to be university
status u/s 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development,
Govt. of India and has become LINGAYA’S UNIVERSITY. The University is located at
Faridabad, in National Capital Region (NCR). It has a sprawling campus situated in green
pastures, pollution free sylvan surroundings and is spread over 26.5 acres of land having
total built up area of more than one million sq.ft.

The Department of Mathematics has adequate and state of the art infrastructure in
addition to a dedicated and experienced team of faculty members from National and
International Institutes of repute like IITs, NITs, BITs and NASA etc. The objective of the
department is to provide theoretical as well as practical knowledge of Mathematics to
meet evolving needs of students.
