<strong>ca</strong>lculate Felicity effect, is not possible due to the different nature <strong>of</strong> applied loads as well as the<br />

addition <strong>of</strong> concrete jacket on columns 1 and 2. Moreover, it is worth noting that there is an<br />

absence <strong>of</strong> <strong>AE</strong> activity during a displacement hold at relative high force level between 5000-<br />

5800 sec, implying no creep effects during that period.<br />

Finally, it is worth noting that the energy s<strong>ca</strong>le for columns 3 and 4 in Fig. 6 is one order <strong>of</strong><br />

magnitude lower than that for columns 1 and 2 in Fig. 5.<br />
