Activities
Renewable Energy Sources (R.E.S.) projects
49
>
>
Greece is an energy hub for Southeastern Europe but also for Europe in general. With the
liberalisation of the production, transfer and distribution of electrical energy in addition to the
dynamic campaign to have Renewable Energy Sources (RES) play an important role in energy
production, our country finds itself at the centre of important developmental opportunities.
The INTRAKAT group is active in the area of Renewable Energy Sources offering integrated solutions
for the design, installation and maintenance of photovoltaic systems and wind farms.
Photovoltaic projects
In the photovoltaic park sector INTRAKAT acts through its subsidiary company ΙΝΤRAPOWER, which
specialises in the construction of turnkey photovoltaic parks, having secured strategic alliances with
recognised brand name equipment manufacturers.
Applying the Groups’ many years of experience and know-how in the execution of complex highly
demanding technical projects, the company offers complete photovoltaic systems solutions
supplying a wide range of specialised services which include:
Acquisition and management of licences
Planning and design of turnkey photovoltaic installations in greenfield sites and on buildings
Selection and supply of materials and systems
Construction and installation of materials and systems
Project management
Personnel training
Systems support (maintenance, technical support, upgrades)
The company undertakes the construction of small (2–100kW), medium (100kW–1MW) and large
scale (>1ΜW) systems, with direct connection to the main energy transmission and distribution
network, as well as fixed and mobile (AOSS) stand-alone systems for industrial, agrarian, domestic
and defense applications.
>
Wind farms
Wind energy plays a leading role in the development of RES and presents a significant investment
potential in Greece. The country’s exceptionally high wind resource potential places her among the
most attractive in Europe. Further penetration into this particular sector is a strategic goal of the
INTRAKAT Group.

Quality and
Safety
In today’s age, where market demands increase daily and for
various reasons the competition is much more intense than
in previous years, it is clear that the importance of quality as
a competitive factor plays a decisive role in the predominance
a product or a service has in the marketplace. In recent years,
continuous investments in cutting-edge technology have created
a dynamically growing market in which INTRAKAT is actively
involved, meeting all current requirements based on its long
experience and multifaceted presence in the sector.
The simultaneous achievement of optimal cost within the
scheduled time, in combination with the appropriate planning
Quality and Safety
Quality assurance
Quality and Safety
Health and Safety at work – Environment
63
>
INTRAKAT, having anticipated current market requirements and domestic and
international developments, enacted a quality assurance system that was certified
under the BS EN ISO 9002/1994 international standard in June 1997, to consolidate
its position in the construction industry and further expand its business horizons.
The company was later re-evaluated by the Hellenic Standardisation Organization
according to the ELOT EN ISO 9001:2000 Standard.
>
INTRAKAT, being aware of the serious impact accidents have on people, the
environment, society and the company itself, and conscious of the social
responsibility that every company and organization has in each sector of the
production process, believes that it should effectively address Health and Safety
issues, with the goal of continuously improving the safety level in all company
activities with particular emphasis on the technical projects that it performs.
