INFORMED CONSENT:
EXPRESS CONSENT
Express Consent is given when the Patient
clearly states that he/she is willing to go ahead
with the proposed procedure. This can take the
form of a verbal discussion in which the Medical
Practitioner explains the benefits to be expected
and the risks to be incurred when opting for the
proposed procedure. It can, and should where
possible, be given in writing, i.e. a Consent Form.
