To build a solid personal brand, it’s critical to be consistent in how you communicate it. Think about it: If Nike’s ads suddenly encouraged you to become a couch potato, you wouldn’t know what to believe. Just like Nike consistently promotes its “Just Do It” attitude in all of its marketing activities, you, too, must be consistent every single day in how you present your personal brand to the world. 5) Be authentic. If you aren’t taking control of it and consciously striving to define and communicate a brand that helps you reach your full potential, you may actually be damaging your brand and preventing yourself from living the life you desire.
