Welcome to Confidence in Disguise!
This is a magazine completely based on FEMALE EMPOWERMENT.
The mission of this magazine is to help females feel more confident in
themselves and to realize their power. Media today can be extremely
harsh on women; editing every photo, only writing about appearances,
sexualizing their bodies, and undermining their abilities. This magazine is
an example of what the media needs to look like. All photos are unedited
and all articles are focused on important issues and empowering
topics. Please take the time to flip through, read a few articles, and FEEL
EMPOWERED!
Why “Confidence in Disguise,” you ask?
I chose the name Confidence in Disguise because I believe everyone
has their own version of confidence, but often times it’s masked and
hidden by things such as insecurities, a fear of being judged, feelings of
inferiority, and lack of empowerment and encouragement from others.
Everyone has their own way of showing their personal confidence; some
may flaunt it all day, every day, some may not have discovered their way of
flaunting it yet, and others may be flaunting their confidence without
even knowing it. Discovering confidence in yourself is a journey; if you
haven’t found yours yet, don’t worry; it’s just “in disguise” right now :)
