<strong>HOW</strong> <strong>TO</strong> <strong>MEASURE</strong> A <strong>RABΞScreen</strong> <strong>Model</strong> R <strong>Rigid</strong> <strong>Filter</strong><br />
<strong>RABΞScreen</strong> <strong>Model</strong> R filters are metal framed, rigid equipment protecon filters.<br />
They are manufactured to fit any air intake opening up to and including 650mm 2 .<br />
<strong>Model</strong> R filters can be aached via filter racks, brackets, sheet metal screws, magnets to steel cabinets, etc.<br />
Aachment should be made on as flat a surface as possible, parcularly when using magnets.<br />
All filters are manufactured to the EXACT size ordered.<br />
<strong>Model</strong> R filters over 650mm 2 are not recommended and are not warraned, as they are too<br />
easily damaged in handling. When measuring for <strong>Model</strong> R filters, the filter frame will add<br />
13mm to all edges of your intake opening measurement.<br />
Example: Air Intake 500mm x 500mm (filter face shown in grey)<br />
Measurements will be 526mm x 526mm (frame shown in red)<br />
Note: If the equipment or air intake you are aempng to aach to is not a flat surfaced 13mm outside of the actual<br />
intake face, you should expand your measurement unl you can mount your frame on a flat surface. Add this to your<br />
filter measurements.<br />
In the above example one edge is not flat and needs to be extended by 50mm.<br />
Measurements will be 526mm x 576mm<br />
Magnec Aachment:<br />
Magnec stripping is riveted to one face of the rigid frame to allow simple fing.<br />
Larger filters also include expanded mesh for addional support.<br />
Holes Drilled:<br />
If you want holes drilled through the outside frame, a drawing or sketch specifying<br />
the placement of holes should be provided.<br />
