Program Benefits • Since inception in 2012, over 4000 teenagers across different schools in Lagos and Ogun State have successfully participated in a C.I.T.Y program, while over 520 teenagers from schools across the southwest zone have been privileged to be a part of the C.I.T.Y Summer Leadership Camp • Feedback from schools and parents from the last two summer camps have been tremendously amazing. Participants of CITY Leadership camp have shown improvement in accepting responsibility, goal setting and planning and leadership skills. • A major testament to our impact is the award we received in February, 2014 from the Lagos State Government and the Lagos State Ministry of Education for the impact of the C.I.T.Y Program in schools in Lagos. • The benefit of leadership education – provided at this level cannot be over emphasized. However, these type of training is not infused in the academic syllabus. • By supporting and promoting Leadership programs, we are playing a huge role in influencing the future of the nation and Africa as a whole. CITY Camp is set to provide a lasting platform for teenage leadership growth and development, using proven educational methods to achieve positive outcomes.. 14
Impact to Participants ᴥ ᴥ ᴥ Imagine students from different backgrounds and classes, exposed to leadership principles. Imagine them discovering what leadership means and learning about entrepreneurship and innovation. Imagine them exploring their potentials and developing a new appreciation for their homeland and culture. ᴥ ᴥ ᴥ Imagine them grasping new habits like goal setting, time management, reading culture and other skills. Imagine the effect of this program as these children leave to be lighthouses in their homes, schools and in the nation. Imagine the impact of this on the future… 15
