Grande Seconde and Tourbillon XXL : Neoclassical Sobriety
Founded by two friends, Pierre and Thomas, with a shared passion for Swiss watchmaking
and old mechanical movements, the Pierre Thomas brand is known throughout the
watchmaking sector for producing exceptional watches.
Passion and reason are the watchwords of these
creators. They now produce watches with a refined
sense of aesthetics, where the apparent simplicity
reveals a neo-classical flair, and demonstrates
completely mastered technique.
Their first creation was a generously-proportioned
model. With a diameter of 49 mm, the case houses
a 19-ligne mechanical movement produced in the
workshops of Fontainemelon (CH) between 1870
and 1930.
The mechanisms are restored part by part,
adjusted, bevelled and polished to bring them
back to life in their most beautiful setting, such as
the «Grande Seconde» pieces, and enriched with
an original large tourbillon in the «Tourbillon XXL»
pieces.
The watches are produced exclusively in precious
metals - 18 ct. white and pink gold – and completed
84 - GENEVA TIME EXHIBITION 2011
with a large-scale hand turned and domed alligator
strap.
The models are available with white mother of pearl,
black mother of pearl, red lacquered and chocolate
lacquered dials, as well as an extraordinary version
in meteorite enhanced by pink gold indexes.
These timepieces, each created individually and
hand-finished in the purest spirit of Swiss artisanal
watchmaking, combine noble materials, modern
comfort, harmony of finishes and a balance
between past and present.
The blend of hues and materials underlines their
desire to respect tradition in their products, with
the little added bonus that they are authentic 21st
Century creations.
These 100% Swiss products are aimed at collectors
and lovers of elegant pieces.
