Cosplay Building Safety 101: I’m
Breathing WHAT In? Cosplay is very easy
to get into, but there are a ton of safety hazards
to consider! Did you know heating up material
can release dangerous fumes? From goggles, to
respirators, to gloves, learn some handy tips to
protect yourself while you work on your cosplays!

Cosplay Fashion Kick-Off Show This is
the fashion show to kick-off the weekend’s
excitement! Hosted by Heroes United and
Autumn Ivy, this is an all ages event, where
you can come show off your cosplay. Whether
it be completely home made, all bought from
a store, or a professionally made costume, all
are welcome. This is not a competition - it’s a
come strut your stuff and show us what you got
event! Come have your moment in front of an
amazing crowd of fellow cosplay enthusiasts!

choosing and lip sync to your favorite songs at

makeup, but we will also teach you how to use

Cosplay Makeup 102- How to cell shade
This is where things get a bit more exciting. Let’s
say you’re cosplaying a character who is cell
shaded (ie borderlands, or Comic Book style).
The makeup is a bit more complex, but we want
to show you how it can be done! Join us as we
recreate characters from Borderlands and The

a lecture about different materials used in the
recreation and production of cosplay props and

process of a costume, beginning with the
actual concept (drawing) and then turning it
into reality. Learn tips and tricks from Aime

that can be used to achieve your vision, as
well as learn about modifications that can

Costume Design: How To Go From
Cosplay To Television, Film, and Stage
(Film School) Nola Yergen is a costume
designer and actor, known for Valiant (2014),
Parallax (2012) and Red Sand: A Mass Effect
Fan Film (2012) not to mention that she has
worked on Castle and is also a theatre professor
and costume designer at Grand Canyon

Costuming Emergencies and Wearing
through the Day Learn how to put together
an emergency costume repair kit and how to
make emergency repairs to get you through the
rest of your event. Also we’ll be taking a look at
costuming materials and their wearability. How

Making Magic! In this panel we go through
our creative process on how we build our
costumes for ourselves as well as our studio

Creating Creative Career Pathways
between K-12 and College The arts are
making a comeback in education! The arts
have been added to STEM to make STEAM, and
industries are looking for not only degrees, but
creativity in their workforce. So the question is,

Contracts - these are all things you need a
working knowledge of if you want to be a
successful comic artist. Come learn what your
